Abstract:
Distributed control and optimization of multi-agent systems (MAS) have become a very active and exciting research topic in the recent decades across various science and engineering fields, such as smart-grid coordination, swam robots and unmanned autonomous vehicles, techno-social systems, distributed financed and so on. In this seminar, we aim to tackle three essential issues in the distributed cooperative control for multi-agent systems: nonlinear dynamics, time-varying topologies and neural adaptive controls. This talk will firstly survey several distinct recent developments of these different research directions. Then, we shall briefly present our results and will describe the core mathematical methods, such as bounded-real lemma, nonnegative matrix theory, sliding-mode control, MLP learning, artificial mechanical fields and the Lyapunov stability analysis. Finally, a numerical simulation to visualize and verify the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis will be provided and a critical outlook of these directions will also be discussed.
